At this time Apex is only accepting applications from EXPERIENCED FIRE FIGHTERS who live near the Kootenay’s
In light of the rapidly evolving situation regarding the spread of the coronavirus, including the declaration from the World Health Organization that COVID-19 is now categorized as a global pandemic, Apex is following along with the BC Forest Safety Council and recognizes the situation is fluid and we are continuing to monitor the most up-to-date guidance and information as provided by trusted public health authorities.
Health and safety is always a top priority for us. Our duty of care is to ensure we are taking the necessary precautions to help lower the risk for our, employees and their families. We appreciate the continued cooperation and understanding in working together to ensure safety in our community.
At this time Apex S100 and s185 Apex training courses are cancelled. We will update our website training dates as required.
We are accepting applications from:
- Fire fighters with previous Wildfire fire line experience. 60+hours
- A valid S100 and S185 certificate and S100 refresher for 2020 www.s100a.com
- Reside in the Kootenay’s or have a place to live near Nelson BC
- Have the fire line gear required

September to March: Type 2 Fire Fighters, Crew Leaders, DTF’s and BCWS Members
January to April: Type 3 Wildfire Fire Fighters with Experience or no Experience
All year: Wildfire Danger Tree Assessing ( DTA’s)
All year: Certified Fallers ( DTF’s)
